The Town of Perry oversees the following cemeteries:
     • Hope Cemetery, located at the corner of Main and Hope Streets
     • Glenwood Cemetery, located on Handley Street

Plots are currently available in Glenwood Cemetery. Please contact the Cemetery Sexton (7:00am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday) to purchase a plot.

The following cemetery fees were adopted on 2/7/2018:
     • $500 – grave purchase
     • $500 – plot opening for coffin
     • $150 – plot opening for cremains
     • $150 – surcharge for weekend burial
     • $50 – surcharge for each hour (including partial hours) after 3:30pm for weekday burial

The Town of Perry will buy back plots that families no longer need at the original purchase price. Requests should be made in writing and include the original deed, if possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is my ancestor buried?

While we regret that historical books containing burial records from Hope and Glenwood Cemeteries are not available to the public due to their delicate condition, the information has been digitized at the Town Hall. Please contact the Cemetery Sexton or Town Clerk to look up burial records.
